DIY Easy Snowflake Decorations

Hi :)
Today I thought I would find an easy DIY for decorations to put around the house. This is not only easy but it's also really cheap which is great when you're trying to save some money around the holidays!
With this DIY it would be a lot quicker and easier if you just use a free snowflake template from google like this one.

If like me your printer runs out of ink... I have the next best thing which is how to make your own!

Snowflake Decorations
What you'll need:
- Plain paper
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Different sized circle things to trace around
- Glue and glitter (optional)

What to do:
1. Trace around your circular shaped object.

2. Cut out circle.

3. Fold circle in half 3 times.

4. One one side draw out your template.

5. Cut out around the shape.

6. Open out shape.

7. Put shape into a heavy book to flatten out.

8. Repeat with lots of different shapes, sizes and patterns.

9. If you want you can make them sparkly by putting glue onto the the snowflake and then sprinkle loose glitter over it until you're pleased with the amount of sparkle.

Now you can just you blu-tac to attach them to a window or you can attach them to a string and use it as a garland to hang in a window.

Hope you enjoyed this easy, cheap holiday decoration idea, have fun creating your own patterns!
Just 3 days until Christmas!!

6 Holidays Outfit, Hair & Make-up Ideas

Hi :)
Yesterday on my twitter I promised 2 posts today as yesterday I didn't have time to post so, it's currently 10:17pm Sydney time and I'm just beginning to write this post. Hahah anyway as it's almost Christmas I thought that there are probably a lot of people going to holiday parties or just trying to think of an outfit for Christmas Day or Christmas Eve etc.
I used Polyvore to create these outfits so although a lot of the actual items of clothing are incredibly overpriced I'm sure you could find cheaper options elsewhere. :)
All prices in AUD.

Casual Dressy
Black Crop- $31 River Island
Skirt- $55 Chic Wish
Watch- $390 Net-A-Porter
Earrings- $75,000 RRP (!!) Van Cleef and Arpels
Shoes- $31 ASOS
Keep make-up simple with a dramatic smokey eye,and hair in a half up/half down hairstyle that has been loosely curled like Skye's in the picture. If you like you could add a bow either black or dark red to match the skirt.

Classy Casual
 Jeggings- $61 Zara
Hat- $77 Nordstrom
Coat- $59 Blackfive
Shirt- $25 New Look
Scarf- $17 Charlotte Russe
I love Rosie's natural look with a strong contour/highlight, the lip is a muted dark red/burnt orange even. The hair is kept simple with just a blowout parted on the side.

Australian Christmas
Shirt- $595 T by Alexander Wang
Shorts- $22 Chic Nova
Sunglasses- $605 Lindele Palais
Shoes- $98 Converse
Nail Polish- $38 O.P.I
Lipstick- $37 Lancome
Keep make-up natural with a pinky-red lipstick, leave hair in a messy high pony-tail.

 Dressy
Dress- $29 Chic Nova
Bracelet- $19 Oasis
Shoes- $110 Nasty Gal
Lipstick- $46 Nars
Keep hair simple and straight, parted at the side and make-up natural with a deep red lipstick.

 Elegant Casual
Dress- $29 Nelly
Coat- $37 FashionMia
Shoes- $57 Oasis
Nail Polish- $17 Julep
I love Kim's windswept looking hair and natural make-up again focusing on the contouring and eyes.

Lazy/Family Day
Jumper- $26 Chic Nova
Leggings- $19 New Look
Glasses- $245 Ray-Ban
Slippers- $120 Australian Ugg
Keep hair natural in a messy bun and no make-up :)

I think with a lot of these looks you can really pull the entire outfit together by using a deep red lipstick and it keeps the look festive at the same time!
I hoped this helped a little or at least gave you some ideas for your outfits!

Newcastle Markets

Hi :)
Yesterday I went with my family to the Olive Tree Markets in Merewether, Newcastle and then spent the day in town and at the beach. I took heaps of photos so I chose some of my favourites and thought I would share. I also found some really cute brands at the markets and restaurants so I thought I would share!

First thing we did was take the two hour drive up to Newcastle which meant a lot of listening to Taylor Swift ;)

Sorry about the awkward selfie and bad quality photography but this is me, hello :P
I wore my grey Glassons basic shirt, black H&M a-line, midi skirt and grey boots from Monoprix Femme (skirt and boots bought in Paris). I finished the look with my new favourite lipstick the Rimmel Kate Moss 107.

I'm so upset because so many of my photos didn't turn out well because the lens was fogged over or something :(. Anyway there were so many beautiful brands and home made goodies at the market, a lot of the food there was all organic and artesian type foods which was super yummy!

Cannot express to you in words how delicious these macarons were, the one pictured was red skin flavoured (I know right!!) and I also got vanilla bean flavoured. The stall (called Sugar Jones) was so cute there was a little caravan that you could go and eat your macarons in and they had so many interesting flavours. You can find them here

This brand (Lauren Merrick illustration) had the most beautiful prints, my mum and brother both bought prints and our family friends bought beautiful wrapping paper. Also everything was so well priced and amazing quality!! You can check out their products here

After the markets we explored in the town and there was some really pretty wall art and graffiti and this really creepy animal head thing in a store window...

We also found this old book and record store where I bought a few books. We also found a normal record store and look what I found hahah.

Just a little reminder in case you'd forgotten ;) (it's actually 4 days now) and unfortunately I didn't buy a super hip shirt but the sign made me laugh.

The last thing we did before dinner was go to Merewether beach where we had coffees and then I went exploring with my brother and cousin along the rock pools.

Thanks for reading this super long blog post but all in all I had a really lovely day in Newcastle and it's a really cute town with some really great shops and restaurants! If you ever get a chance I would totally recommend taking a trip to Newcastle and also going to the Olive Tree Markets. Just 4 days until Christmas eeeeek :P
Morgan xx

P.S. Huge shout-out to the people at DeLucas Pizza who made me an amazing salad super quickly after I couldn't eat what I chose due to allergies (stupid me forgot to check...)

I'm so grateful for every gift that I receice but one of the best would  have to be a few years ago when my parents surprised me with Taylor Swift concert tickets!

England because it is one of my most favourite places in the whole world and it's where I want to move when I'm finished school although I do also think that New York would be amazing.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I'm definately not a pro but I also don't fail so I guess in the middle!

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?
Probably when I was younger my family was in the car on the way to my grandparent's house on Christmas morning and my younger brother all of a sudden yelled out "SANTA ISN'T REAL!" and even though I already knew I don't think my parents realised but in the end we were all laughing.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I think as you grow up you just eventually realise.

2014 Christmas Wish List

Hi :)
I really am terrible at this aren't I... Anyway with Christmas just around the corner I thought I should post my 2014 Christmas Wish List. I know in no way will I get all of these things but these are some of the things I would love to get! Also there are things on this list that are less expensive and things that I could probably only ever dream of getting hahha. Also just saying I'm a teenage girl and have my own hobbies, style, likes, dislikes etc, so obviously these gifts aren't going to be to everyone's tastes.

1. The Nutri Bullet-Starting off on a strong note (an expensive one too).
My blender at the moment is pretty average and we don't have a huge amount of counter space.
Around the $120 AUD price mark

2. A few books.
-14,000 Things to be Happy About by Barbara Ann Kipfer
-Rookie Yearbook 1,2 & 3
-The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
-To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han
-The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
-Every Kiss a War by Leese Cross-Smith
Approx. $10-$30 AUD

3. CD's
Any of the Arctic Monkeys or Ball Park Music albums because I really want more physical copies of albums rather than just on my phone.
Approx. $20 AUD
AM- http://www.arcticmonkeys-store.co.uk/am/albums
BPM- http://ballparkmusic.bigcartel.com/
4. Tiger Mist dresses
http://tigermist.com.au/Product/Rise-Of-Dawn-Faded-Midi-Dress-With-Low-Side/25219
Either this one pictured or this pattern
$79.95 AUD

5. Nike Pro Core 3 Shorts
http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/pro-3-training-shorts/pid-829529/pgid-967811
$28 AUD

6. Canon EOS 700D Camera
http://www.canon.com.au/en-AU/Personal/Products/Cameras-and-Accessories/EOS-Digital-SLR-Cameras/EOS-700D
I will most likely not get this as it is incredibly expensive but I can dream right. After a lot of research I found that this is one of the best cameras for amateur photographers and is one of the least expensive for a proper DSLR camera.
$500+ AUD

I hope that this Christmas you get all that you desire! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and God bless. I look forward to what's in store for 2015!

Long Overdue European 'Face' Haul and Reviews

Hi :)

I'm sorry I haven't been posting recently, I can't really make excuses except for the fact that I've had school and tests. I'm going to try so hard for the rest of the year to get at least 2 posts up a month :/
Anyway, as many of you know in late June- early July I went with my family on a holiday to Europe (France, England, Norway, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland). While I was there I bought quite a few make-up/skincare items and I've been meaning to do a face haul post for a while now.

So here you go! My long overdue Europe 'face' haul with short reviews of each of the products.

Isadora 'Wake Up Make-up Foundation' 00 FAIR- $30+ AUD
This foundation is amazing, I bought it in Sweden. I have oily and acne prone skin and the foundation stayed put for most of the day, it is fairly matte but still has a dewy look.  It has an SPF level of 20 and a velvety smooth finish. I also have light skin and a lot of foundations are too dark for me, this foundation was pretty much a perfect match! It is medium to full coverage and blends really well.
However, this brand is not sold in Australia and getting it sent from friends in Norway would put this foundation to above $45 AUD a lot more than I would normally pay for a foundation.

UPDATE- I have recently been using Covergirl's 'TRU Blend Foundation' L-1 IVORY- $20 AUD (Priceline) as I'm almost out the Isadora and they have a great variety of colours.

Soap and Glory 'The Fab Pore Purifying Mask and Peel'- Around $18.50 AUD
I've been using this mask once a week usually on a Friday night, the morning after you can definitely see results but it does leave my skin a bit oily which I guess is normal. I just use a make-up wipe and cleanser then a moisturiser and my skin is lovely and soft. The mask is lightly exfoliating but not a peel as it says on the box, I use warm water and a face towel to wipe off the mask by rubbing in small circles. I've seen some Soap and Glory products in Australia but they've always been really expensive, my next purchase from them will hopefully be Soap and Glory's 'Whipped Butter Cream' :)

Benefit 'the Pore-fessional Primer' - $50+ AUD
I had been wanting to try some Benefit products for AGES and was so excited when I arrived in London, Europe sell Benefit products a whole lot cheaper than they do in Australia. I'd heard so much about 'the Pore-fessional  primer' so before I decided to buy the whole tube I bought a Benefit sample pack from Boots to try it out. It was love at first try, it is so silky smooth and makes your skin feel kind of velvety (weird right!) but it does it's job! It makes your foundation stay on longer and creates a much smoother and even effect. As I don't want to waste any I usually only use this on special occasions (parties, concerts etc.) but I have to admit one of my biggest regrets of my trip was not picking up another bottle of this stuff!

Urban Decay 'Naked BASICS Eye-Shadow Palette' - $30+ AUD
I don't typically wear eye shadow so when I do I wear very natural colours, this palette is perfect for me. I was looking at the Naked 1,2 and 3 palettes but in the end this was the one with the colours I would wear most often. My favourite shades in the palette are 'Venus' which is a light, matte peach colour and 'Walk of Shame' which is similar to 'Venus' but with more browny/earthy undertones. All the colours in the palette are easy to build up or wear naturally by themselves and I'm really pleased I bought this palette!

Thanks for reading and I hope you've enjoyed these reviews!
