Fashion Week 2016 has been going on for a while now around the world and I believe the men's shows are still going on at the moment. I've loved catching up on all the shows and watching my favourite bloggers and celebrities to see what everyone has been wearing.
I've seen a few trends that really stood out to me in some of the shows as well as in the street fashion.
(All photos are from Google and Tumblr)
Tweed:
Particularly popular in the Chanel show at Paris Fashion Week
"Ballerina" Style:
The use of tulle and baby pink/nude colours, also light flowy a-line skirts particularly popular in the Valentino and Marchesa shows at Paris and New York Fashion Week
Mixing/Bold Patterns:
This isn't necessarily a new trend but I've seen it particularly in the street wear this year, people have been going all out with mixing different fabrics that wouldn't usually go together
Flares:
People have really been moving on from the straight/skinny style of pants and are going back to the big 70's flares, I saw this trend particularly show in the street style
My favourite show during fashion week was probably the Valentino show during Paris Fashion Week everything was so beautiful! I hope you have enjoyed this quick, little post about the some of my favourite trends during 2016 Fashion Week!

Find Me:
Hope you are all well, as for me not so much. On Wednesday I was out on a school excursion at the beach and I could feel myself coming down with a cold, my head was pounding and my throat was all scratchy and hoarse. Anyway, by Wednesday night it had turned into a full on cold and my head was aching and every part of me was blocked, I couldn't hear or breathe. It was a disaster.
What was even more of a disaster was that I still had another test on the next day (I had 4 or 5 tests and assignments this past week) so I couldn't take the day off. Basically on Thursday afternoon I went home early and I haven't left bed since.
Today I decided I wanted to do something nice for myself to make myself feel a little better so I had a bit of a pamper day and this is what I did. Enjoy!
I started off by cleaning my face and then put on my face mask from Soap and Glory called 'The Fab Pore'. I left this on for about 30 minutes which is about 15 minutes longer than they recommend but my face didn't burn off so that's a plus... :/
I then went on to run myself a bath hoping that the steam and hot water would unblock my stuffy head. I used a 'Father Christmas' bath bomb from Lush (yes I do know it's not Christmas).
I washed my hair using three of my current favourites which will probably seem really odd as they're just normal, everyday products. I begun using these products a few weeks after I got my hair bleached and it got really damaged. I've been trying to get my hair back to normal and these products have definitely made a huge difference and have made my hair a lot softer and helped keep the blonde from going brassy and orange.
Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 Shampoo - $7.89
Pantene Pro-V Colour Therapy Conditioner - $10.99
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Tone Correcting Conditioner- $17.99
A bit later on I lit a bunch of candles and made myself a cup of tea, usually I'll mix two teabags one green tea and one peppermint and sometimes (like today) I'll also add a little bit of agave nectar to sweeten it.
The rest of my day consisted of drinking TONNES of water, napping on and off, moisturising my face (a weird habit I have when I'm in bed all day) and watching Netflix (I finished off the new 'Fuller House' series) and Casey Neistat vlogs on Youtube.
Also currently listening to 'Obsessive' by Chase Atlantic who I've been following since the ClintonCaveMusic days check them out on YouTube.
I hope that this little post has inspired you to have a pamper day/evening if your own!
A few weeks ago I was in the mood for making some stuff and it ended up in this post. I've been tossing up since whether or not to post it but in the end it's something I'm proud of and even if no-one sees this post I know I'm happy.
Anyway, that didn't make sense, all of these 'mood boards' were made and created by me from things that I've collected from magazines or craft stores etc. Enjoy!
This is a list of some of my favourite movies, the type of movies I could watch on repeat and never get sick of. You'll see a pretty obvious theme throughout them (I do love rom-coms) but I hope you enjoy them anyway.
My favourite type of music is movie soundtracks so a lot of these have great soundtracks as well :)
God Help the Girl (2014)
I only watched this movie recently but I've had it (and the soundtrack) on repeat since. I first watched it because I've loved Hannah Murray since Skins and she is one of the main characters, ironically also called Cassie.
Synopsis: Set in Glasgow, Scotland, the film is about a girl called Eve who is in the hospital dealing with some emotional problems and starts writing songs as a way of getting better. Songwriting becomes her way forward, leading her to the City where she meets James and Cassie, two musicians each at crossroads of their own. What follows is a story of renaissance over the course of a long, dream-like Summer.
The Waitress (2007)
I watched this movie after hearing the song 'She Used To Be Mine' which Sara Bareilles wrote for new musical (she is writing all the music for it).
Synopsis: Jenna is unhappily married and hoping to win a pie-baking contest so, with the prize money, she'll have enough cash to leave her husband Earl. She finds herself pregnant, which throws her plans awry. She a mutual attraction with the new doctor in town as the pregnancy advances, life with Earl seems less tolerable and a way out is less clear.
Love, Rosie (2014)
I love Lily Collins, plain and simple ;)
Synopsis: Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were 5, so they couldn't possibly be right for one another... or could they? When it comes to love, life and making the right choices, these two are their own worst enemies. One awkward turn at 18, one missed opportunity... and life sends them hurling in different directions. But somehow, across time, space and different continents, the tie that binds them cannot be undone. Will they find their way back to one another, or will it be too late? Based on Cecelia Ahern's bestselling novel "Where Rainbows End", LOVE, ROSIE is a modern comedy-of-errors tale posing the ultimate question: Do we really only get one shot at true love?
10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
I found this movie on my parents shelf of movies and watched it, it is now one of my favourites, also Heath Ledger :O...
Synopsis: Adapted from William Shakespeare's play "The Taming of the Shrew," a new kid must find a guy to date the meanest girl in school, the older sister of the popular girl he has a crush on, who cannot date until her older sister does.
Begin Again (2013)
I think I just saw the trailer for this movie and thought it looked good but it's great. I love the whole idea of the movie (I wish artists actually sold their albums for $1)
Synopsis: A chance encounter between a disgraced music-business executive and a young singer-songwriter new to Manhattan turns into a promising collaboration between the two talents.
She's All That (1999)
This is another movie I found of my parent's shelf of movies and I love it :)
Synopsis: A modern-day version of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, where Zack Siler, is a Los Angeles high school hunk who's been dumped by his popular, but mean-spirited, girlfriend Taylor Vaughn for a famous reality star. Frustrated, Zack accepts a bet from his friends that he can turn Laney Boggs, a geeky girl into the school's prom queen. Naturally he falls in love with her which leads to other complications from each other's friends and enemies alike.
50 First Dates (2004)
I grew up watching this movie pretty much every weekend so it has always held a special place in my heart as has Hawaii. This movie is my parents favourite and Hawaii is their favourite place to go (they got engaged there). I've watched this movie so many times I can practically quote and I'm sure I will make my kids watch it in the future too.
Synopsis: Henry Roth is a man afraid of commitment up until he meets the beautiful Lucy. They hit it off and Henry think he's finally found the girl of his dreams, until he discovers she has short-term memory loss and forgets him the very next day.
Love And Other Disasters (2006)
I adore Brittany Murphy but my favourite part of this movie is by far her style.
Synopsis: Flighty Emily "Jacks" Jackson works for the British edition of Vogue magazine. Rather than pursue a relationship, Jacks regularly hooks up with her devoted ex-boyfriend, James Wildstone, and lives with Peter Simon, a gay screenwriter. When Jacks meets Argentinian photographer's assistant Paolo Sarmiento, she assumes he is gay and tries to bring him and Peter together, unaware that Paolo is straight and in love with her.
